About Slack On Off

Screen Shot 2016-01-30 at 12.16.27 AMIt can seem an ongoing pain, what you have to do to get where you want to go. But it can also seem like one of the keys to unlocking your secret powers (be that an engineering wiz or a political painter).

This is your education: Claim it, own it and make it everything you want it to be.

This blog is dedicated to unwrapping of the gift and reminding us of its power to transform our lives. Let’s make the most of the time and energy we spend on our education!

I’m constantly working on unwrapping the gift, myself. Whether I’m doing an online course to help with my business ideas (YouTube university counts đŸ˜‰ ) or taking a Tafe course to learn more about my passion for creating (painting, music, etc) OR actually going to school (High School and then Uni); my goal is to take all that I can from the experience, not just what I am being taught.

We can learn about our thought processes, our creative processes and our passions and purpose through our experiences as a student.

I can show you how to tap into all those things while achieving all you want to, academically.

About Me

about-page-photoAfter graduating high school I began planning my gap-year (currently living the dream). I quickly realised that, to go travelling in Europe for 3 months and then move out of home to Sydney, I would need money…So because of my entrepreneurial spirit, I started thinking up ways to do things I’m passionate about + make money.

The best idea I had was tutoring. I was fresh out of high school and bursting with ideas about how to tackle the HSC based on both my successes and short-comings. So I made a fancy flyer and started getting clients.

But with all the driving around and fitting into everyone’s busy schedules I quickly ran out of out-of-school hours. I wasn’t satisfied; I really wanted to help more people. When the idea for Slack On Off visited me I was so excited to have found a solution. I would be able to write answers to everyones questions and qualms and they could all learn from each other’s problems and experiences! It was even better than if I could tutor each of them individually.

Now I’m here, creating content and ideas and sharing them with you and I would love for you to share with me too. I am excited to get to know and learn from, all of you. Let’s make this learning experience (whatever that is right now) the most exciting and beneficial of any so far!
